My Many Blessings

When I stop to think about this I think about what a friend of mine said one day.  She said something along the lines of this: If I weighed all my blessing and all my trials, the blessings would definitely outweigh the trials. Of course, it’s been many years and this may not be exactly accurate, but the meaning is still there.

So, I think about my blessings and there are too many to name. 

I have been blessed by God and have been given two amazingly wonderful children.  I can always count on them for a laugh and wonderful entertainment.  The dances and songs lighten the mood like nothing else can.  

Most people only get to say that have one set of parents.  I have been fortunate enough to be given two.  

My mama and daddy have instilled from the beginning of my life the motto of working hard and doing your best no matter what life throws at you.  They taught me to appreciate good food, great music and laughter.

My mom and dad have been with me through this second part of my life. They have helped me raise my kids and stood by me through the pain even when others said they shouldn’t.  

My BFF….what can I say. She probably knows more about me than anyone. I can tell her anything and not fear ridicule.  She listens to me rant, laughs with me, cries with me and helps me forget.  I feel like I have known her forever, I only wish I had.  

My job, though not always a piece of cake, is a blessing. In a time when many people don’t have a job, I am thankful that I do.

Really, I am beyond blessed. I have more than anyone could want.  Do I have a ton of money? No. Do I have a ton of friends? No.  But do I have what I need? Of course I do.  

What are your blessings? I am sure they outweigh your trials.  And just remember…if given the choice between your trials and someone else’s you would surely choose your own.  Your blessings are yours, don’t take them for granted.
